DIY Laundry Detergent

Hi guys! Its been forever and a day since I've added a blog post, but I know you're gonna wanna save this recipe I'm about to share so I wanted it somewhere easily accessible.

Ya know those blogs that make you read 32 paragraphs and dodge 15 pop-ups before finally getting to the recipe? Ya this isn't one of them ๐Ÿ˜‚ I currently have 2 toddlers tugging at my leg and a baby attached at the hip so let's get to it!!

Today I'm sharing the DIY powdered laundry detergent we've been using for nearly a year now. Its inexpensive and a batch lasts quite awhile even doing laundry daily, which we do as a family of 5. Before you ask, I have no idea if this works in HE washers, ours is a plain old top load washing machine so I'm no help there sorry! But what I do know is it does a decent job cleaning my boys mud soaked clothes and my 5 yo son Ezra always says his clothes & blankets smell "fresh" so that's worth something right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ We've saved a ton of money making our own and the best part? Simple, natural, clean ingredients- no harsh chemicals ๐Ÿ‘

So here it is, let me know what you think if you give it a try!

1 1/2 c. Washing Soda

1 1/2 c. Baking Soda

1/2 c. Epsom Salt

1/4 c. Pink Himalayan Salt-Fine Grain

25 drops Lemon EO

Mix all ingredients together and store in jar (fits perfectly in a quart jar). Add 1 heaping tablespoon per load of laundry. Hope you love it as much as we do!
